Welcome to Siramik Bed and Breakfast accommodation (4 star) near Alltwalis, Carmarthenshire in South Wales.

A converted stone barn situated on our working farm in the Carmarthenshire hills bordering the Brechfa Forest with great facilities for forest walks, mountain bike trails and visiting Skanda Vale Temple. Peace and quiet will await you with stunning views of the surrounding valleys

There are 4 twin-bed rooms. The two ground level rooms are en-suite, including the disability friendly room with adapted bathroom facilities. The family room contains two rooms that share the en-suite. Tea and coffee facilities are in the rooms as well as the standard facilities to make your stay comfortable. Every room has a flat screen TV. There is a lounge for relaxation and to socialize on the first floor overlooking the attached potter’s studio. Plenty of free parking facilities are on the premises.

B & B

Breakfast made from local produce will be served in a room in our farm house. We also cater for a variety of dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free etc.) and have a 5 (Very good) hygiene rating from the Food Standard Agency.

For lunch and the evening meal, visitors will make their own arrangements. Leaflets and brochures about local restaurants, pubs and other facilities are available in the rooms.

Siramik

The building for your accommodation and where the courses are held has been converted with renewable energy in mind. There are solar panels for hot water provision and a ground source heat pump is installed for heating the building. The conversion has been granted the Green Dragon award for using sustainable energy and being environmentally responsible.

Explore Nearby Attractions

On our doorstep is the Brechfa Forest Mountain Bike Trails that give a unique opportunity to explore the beautiful forest not only by bike but is also a destination for walking and horse riding.

Gwili Steam Railway and Carmarthen County Museum are two of the nearest attractions for individuals and families alike.

Carmarthen town, only 6 miles away from the accommodation, is an old market town with plenty of shops, restaurants and a produce market (Wednesdays and Saturdays)

Llansteffan Beach is one of the closest beaches and others like Pendine, the Gower, Tenby, Saundersfoot and the Pembrokeshire Coast are within easy to reach distance.

For leisure activities you could choose Pembrey Country Park. They provide a 130 meter dry ski slope, a toboggan run, adventure playground and hiring of bicycles for uninterrupted cycling along the beach tracks. For children a themed park like Oakwood, Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo and Heatherton are always great places to visit.

For the rainy day activities we can recommend the Xcel Bowling Centre in Carmarthen as well as the Leisure Centre next door.

If you are interested in bird wildlife, we have the National Wedlands Centre near Llanelli where there are plenty of established and migrating bird populations.

The National Trust’s Dinefwr Castle and grounds as well as Kidwelly Castle, Carreg Cennen Castle and Laugharne Castle are a must for castle enthusiasts. The famous Boat House of Dyland Thomas is situated in Laugharne too.

If you are interested in Gardens we have the Aberglasney Gardens and the National Botanic Garden of Wales, where recently a Butterfly House and the British Bird of Prey Centre was opened.

The Woolen Mill in Drefach Velindre will provide you with a wonderful insight of the woollen industry over the last 100 years up to the present day. To this day the weaving machines of the past are still used, producing beautiful Welsh blankets and more.

Golf minded guests will find their grounds at Carmarthen Golf Club, Ashburnum Golf Club, Machynys and Glyn Abbey.
